Tim and Sandy’s Baltimore Wedding
November 5, 2010 found me happily back on I-95 Northbound from Carolina to Baltimore for the last wedding of the 2010 wedding season. Ironically, it is how I found myself starting 2010. In February I headed up to Baltimore to be part of Laura’s wedding, who is Tim’s sister.(You’ll remember…
November 5, 2010 found me happily back on I-95 Northbound from Carolina to Baltimore for the last wedding of the 2010 wedding season. Ironically, it is how I found myself starting 2010. In February I headed up to Baltimore to be part of Laura’s wedding, who is Tim’s sister.(You’ll remember that was the weekend of Baltimore’s worst snow storm in history!).
I started with Sandy and Tim at the Baltimore Harborplace Renaissance Hotel where everyone was getting ready. It was great to see so many familiar faces, and start making new friends as well. After everyone was ready, we took a limo over to the beautiful St. Augustine Church where they had a beautiful Catholic service. Everything went perfectly, and we were back into downtown Baltimore for the reception.
Westminster Hall is where we spent the rest of the night. An amazing location with a grand open area, a fantastic organ at the head of the room, and perhaps, most notably the resting place of Edgar Allen Poe. You see, Westminster was a former Gothic style church in downtown Baltimore which was the final resting places for such greats as Poe and General James McHenry. Also at the Westminster is a set of catacombs which the guests were able to tour during the cocktail hour. This was definitely one cocktail hour you wanted to be a part of!
The night was a blast as you can imagine. Great toasts, dance battles between Tim and Sandy (you gotta respect anyone who can bust out the lawnmower, the sprinkler and the motorcycle all in one battle), the great Polish Pani Mloda wedding money dance – so much going on, and such a good time. Steve and Katie: we were at 3 or 4 weddings together this year; good times! James and Laura – congratulations on little Dom! Tim and Sandy (and family), as always, thank you for having me at your big day; it was an honor. Let’s enjoy some sample photos – cheers!
