April 2 was a beautiful day for a wedding. A little windy, but perfect for Ben & Genevieve. Both the guys and girls got ready at the downtown Greensboro Marriott.  An easy, lighthearted morning, with lots of sugar cake from Dewey’s Bakery is really a great way to go. Once everyone was ready to go, a shuttle took us to the Congregational United Church of Christ for the ceremony. A beautiful mix of trumpet and organ by family friends brought Genevieve down the isle and the guests enjoyed a great ceremony. After the ceremony, it was a short hop to Revolution Mills for the reception.

This was my first reception at Revolution Mills, and I really enjoyed it. It’s such a classy location. Great exposed wood beams, hardwood floors, big, large windows – what more could you ask. I had been here with Genevieve a few months prior for her bridal shoot, and had been looking forward to shooting here ever since. It did not disappoint. Genevieve did an amazing job putting together her wedding. Along the way, she had some pre-wedding and ceremony help from Robin and Mary of Invitations Only. Kenneth of K2 Pro Events also did a great job setting the pace of the day with some great music. The delicious catering was provided by Salem Kitchen and the fantastic cake you’ll see was also provided by Dewey’s Bakery. Cindy at Botanica Flowers in Greensboro (336-288-1908) provided the flowers. And of course Leidra of Revolution Mills Studio provided the canvas to work from.
